cultures. We are committed to the essential stewardship of our Earth and land through
sustainable organic food production and support for local farmers.

We believe that the only way food should be processed is by the human body. We
believe that flavour comes first and that vegan foods are just a different palette with
which to create a gourmet dining experience.

Polenta An Italian peasant food made from boiled
yellow cornmeal.
 
Jicama Also known as a Mexican turnip. The texture resembles a pear or potato and is sweet and starchy in taste. What is sprouting? It is the practice of soaking, draining, and then rinsing seeds, nuts, or grains at regular intervals until they germinate or sprout.

Carpaccio An Italian dish of thinly sliced meat or fish,
but in our case, mushrooms.

Why Sprout? Sprouts are high in digestible energy, minerals,amino acids, proteins, and beneficial enzymes.
What is Raw Food? food that has not been heated above
115ºF therefore not destroying any enzymes which aid
in digestion allowing for maximum nutrition.

  The Rejuvenation Bowl (nf option/gf)
Rejuvenate your body, mind, and soul with this simple, yet hearty bowl. Choose your choice of steamed brown rice or Quinoa topped with Burdock Root and steamed seasonal veggies. Topped with your choice of grilled tempeh or tofu and choice of creamy tahini or almond sauce. Served with brown rice miso soup and house-made Kimchi.

Dehydrators Instead of ovens we use dehydrators to make all our crusts,crackers, and other goodies. It is an appliance that removes water from food by gently heating the air and blowing it throughout the food drying area. Did you know it takes us at least 12 hours to make our pizza crust? Quinoa Pronounced Keen-WAH is a seed which has a lightly fluffy texture when cooked. It is an unusually complete food and is high in protein and gluten-free!

Kale Kale is derived from the cabbage. A highly
nutritious vegetable, calcium enriched and has powerful
antioxidant properties.

Arame Seaweed derived from kelp high in calcium and iron.
  Labour Raw food is very labour intensive compared to other cuisines. Daily here at Live, loving hands shape every piece of cracker, wrap, cookie, patty and so on to create this cuisine.

Macrobiotic This approach is based on choosing food that is less processed and more natural. It emphasizes locally grown whole grain,legumes,vegetables,seaweed, fermented soy products and fruit combined into meals according to the principle of balance known as yin and yang. Tempeh Tempeh is made from whole soybeans that have been fermented. Tempeh is a rich source of proteins, fibres, and minerals and has a generous source of nutrients such as calcium, B-vitamins and iron. The natural tempeh fermentation process also makes the soya digestible.
Ayurvedic Ayurveda deals with a holistic approach to healing. In Ayurveda food is not only a mixture of all the basic ingredients like proteins,vitamins,fats and carbohydrates, but it is something which serves as a source of energy for mind and soul. Each person’s constitution is different and therefore their diet is different. Kimchi A traditional Korean fermented dish made from cabbage and red pepper. Kimchi is high in dietary fibre and is a probiotic.

Burdock root Burdock root is crisp and has a mild flavour.
It contains a fair amount of dietary fibre, calcium, potassium,
and is low calorie. For herbalists, it is generally used for
a blood purifier.
